Maybe you have experienced it before: you look in the mirror and suddenly part of your white is colored completely red. That looks dramatic, but it is actually quite harmless. This is called subconjunctival hemorrhage: it is some blood that is in the superficial membrane of your eye. Usually this occurs spontaneously, for no apparent reason. What they have in common is that they are all sugars and therefore carbohydrates. Within the carbohydrates there are three families: sugars, oligosaccharides and polysaccharides. All these '-oses' belong to the family of sugars and which in turn is divided into monosaccharides (single saccharides or simple carbohydrates) and disacharids (a chain of two saccharides). The classification is thus based on the molecular structure of the carbohydrates: oligosaccharides have 3 to 9 monosaccharides, polysaccharides have 10 or more. Starch, for example, is the main polysacharide, it consists of long chains of glucose molecules.

The word 'homeopathy' is derived from the Greek 'homoios' which means 'similar' and 'pathos' which means 'disease' or 'suffering'. This immediately unravels one of the most important principles of this 'alternative treatment method' for physical and psychological complaints: the principle of similarity.
But what about the credibility of the homeopathic approach? What is fact and fiction? What label do you stick on these drops, 'granules' or capsules?

Vegetarians do not eat meat and fish, vegans do not eat animal foods at all, so no cheese, milk, yoghurt or eggs, etc. A vegan diet is often associated with better health, but not necessarily with lower mortality. The exact reasons why a plant-based diet is better for health are not yet clear, partly due to a lack of long-term studies.

Osteoporosis or bone decalcification is a disease that affects the bones. The bone mass decreases and the bones become porous.
An increase in the risk of fractures (especially of the hip, femur and wrist) and spinal collapse causing the body length to decrease are the main consequences. For example, a small accident, for example an unfortunate punch against a table edge, may be enough to break the wrist.
